RESIDENTIAL EXTERIOR PAINTING PROCESS
PRESSURE WASHING
Pressure wash the house to remove dirt, mildew, and other contaminates utilizing a specialized eco-friendly outdoor bleach to ensure the protection of your outdoor plants and foliage.
PREPARATION
Loose paint is removed, and exposed raw wood, and rust areas will be primed prior to finish coat being applied.
Elastomeric Caulk will be applied around windows,doors,inside corners,cracks in siding,cracks on fascias, and butt joints to prevent water penetration.
Protect all landscaping, walkways, driveways, pool decks, patios, windows, fencing, lighting, etc. from drips, sprinkles and/or overspray by covering with drop cloths and plastic sheeting.
PRIMER WOOD
Prime areas where paint has came loose from pressure washing or scraping. There are many types of primers and different methods of priming National Painting has formulated a two phase method to give you the longest lasting paint job for your home.
PRIMER METAL
Prepare metal surfaces either by wire brush or sanding. There are many different approaches to remedying rusty metal
National Painting has formulated a several step process to preserving the integrity of the metal.
METAL GUTTERS
If your gutters are looking new after they have been cleaned up and you are OK with the color we would suggest not painting them, but if they where painted in the past or you want to change the color we have a method to to make the coating last a long time on your gutters. There is no extra charge.
INSPECTION
Inspect for loose boards or siding and fasten down with galvanized nails or stainless steel screws.
PAINTING
Apply finish coat by brush and roller or spray and back roll depending on surface and customer preference.
Paint the body of the house (wood,Hardy plank,stucco, etc.) with a premium top-grade 100% acrylic paint.
Paint the trim (fascia, soffits, gutters, downspouts and window bands with a premium top-grade 100% acrylic paint.) ** Note: Not all trim is recommended to be painted (Example: Maintenance Free aluminum or vinyl).
Paint all doors with a premium top-grade 100% acrylic paint.
Sheens (flat, satin, semi-gloss, gloss) are always a preference and to be chosen by the customer.

SETUP
Moving Furniture
Furniture will be moved into the center of the room. If necessary, furniture will be covered with plastic to protect it from sanding dust, paint, caulking, etc. When work is complete, the furniture will be moved back to its original position.
Window Treatments
Carefully detach curtains and/or blinds from the windows, and attach upon job completion.
Protecting Flooring
Necessary precautions will be taken to protect and cover flooring throughout the painting process.
PREPARATION
Filling Nail Holes and Minor Sheetrock Imperfections
Fill all nail holes and caulk any cracks in the walls. Gaps in the trim will be caulked. Also, minor sheetrock imperfections (dents and dings) will be filled and sanded.
PRIMER
Primer will be applied to any repairs in the wall, raw drywall, raw wood and water stains.
PAINTING
Finish coat is applied by brush and roller or sprayer, depending upon the surface, to a uniform finish. All trim will be painted and completed with clean cut lines between wall and trim.
CLEAN UP
Check flooring for debris, remove all empty paint cans and other trash. All paint will be clearly labeled and left with the customer for future touch up use.
INSPECTION
Perform an initial walk thru as a team to inspect and correct any imperfections. A final walk through with the customer is essential to finalize the project, and to ensure 100% customer
