To: National Painting Associates June 5 2011
We have been doing business with National Painting Associates for a decade as resident managers and maintenance manager of Juanita View Apartments. Paul Strickler and his associates have always provided excellent work in a timely manner at a very reasonable price.
He has advised me of what paint was compatible with certain projects. National Painting has painted our entire complex and has been maintaining it ever since, We have one of the best looking compactors anywhere and the paint was apparently perfect for the application. His periodic updating of certain parts of our complex have been right on and our apartment complex is one of the best looking buildings in the Juanita area of Kirkland. We would highly recommend his company for any painting needs you might have.
Most sincerely,
Bud and Vickie Nahay

Paul exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend him without hesitation. The Exterior paint job quality on our 2 story 2800 square foot house was exceptional, and the detail was amazing. Our family home had not been painted in over 20 years, and it was in very rough shape. I knew it needed a painter who would make quality a priority.
Paul was referred by a family friend that highly recommended him. Paul had painted his house recently and about 15-20 years ago. That told me a few things. His original and subsequent jobs were high quality, his customers are loyal, and his long term business is rock solid.
Everything about the process worked as it should. He was recommended, he showed up when promised for both estimate and job, his price was good, and the quality of his work was exceptional. In addition, once a date was set, start to finish lasted less than a week.
I just had him give a bid for the interior of our house as well. I already knew I was going to have him do it because I trust him, but I had to make sure his bid would be competitive for my own peace of mind. It was. He starts the interior next week.
It is very seldom one finds high quality and good price at the same time. I feel lucky to have found that, and I hope your experience is the same. I am confident it will be.

National Painting Associates- Paul Strickler 8/03/2012 Since the bidding process Paul has been helpful with educating my wife and I about the nature of painting and what to watch out for, which was a big plus for us, since all of what we knew about painting were from you tube. Paul and his crew were friendly and professional. We were impressed with how everyone on the crew pays attention to detail, making sure to catch the small corners and such. we have appreciated their work on our home. Paul might not have the lowest bid for you (something he admitted in the beginning), the quality and detail of his work is more than worth it.

To whom it may concern:
This letter is a recommendation for Paul Strickler and his painting crew at National Painting Associates for the work they performed on my house in September 2012.
I obtained four bids for painting my house, National Painting was the most reasonable. Their price was fair but also Paul’s knowledge and explanation of his procedures helped me understand his goals were the same as mine, to get a good coat of paint on my house in order to protect it. Paul’s bid was fast, within a few days. He returned emails promptly and we got on his books to paint a few weeks out.
His crew was professional, courteous and efficient. They did a quality job of pressure washing, scraping, calking and taping off the windows. I appreciated how Paul worked along side his crew. I have had other work done on my house where the person who bid the work was nowhere to be found once the work started. This was not the case here. Paul and his crew, sprayed on paint and brushed it in so the paint really got attached to my house. They also were flexible to repaint a small part when we changed our mind on the color after seeing it.
I was pleasantly surprised that Paul didn’t want any money up front, not even to buy paint or to hold my spot on his books. He said we could pay him when he was done and we were happy with his work. I was very impressed with him and his crew, how hard they worked and their level of detail in painting and cleaning up. As I type this, his crew has started to work on a neighbor’s house across the street. People know a quality job when they see it.
Sincerely

To whom it may concern:
This letter is a recommendation for Paul Strickler and his painting crew at National Painting Associates for the work they performed on my house in May 2014.
I have a 1927 vintage rental house that was in dire need of painting. I received bids from four painting contractors. I decided to go with National Painting Associates out of Renton.
The President of the company, Paul Strickler, was very prompt to come out and give me a bid. His bid was higher than two of the contractors but the quality of work that he recommended was better than what was offered by the other contractors. He didn't ask for any upfront money which is almost unheard of in the construction/painting trade.
Paul and his crew showed up and started by pressure washing the entire house. After letting the house dry for a couple of days they came back and scraped off all the loose paint, caulked around all the windows and doors. They also added a peel coat on the house to lock in the old paint to the bare areas that were scraped. (This step was never offered by the other 3 contractors.) The last step was the priming and painting. They were very careful masking off all the doors and windows before painting the main color. When they did the trim work there wasn't any bleed over onto the new paint.
Their cleanup around the house was excellent and the paint job looks fantastic. The project took them five days and once they started they showed up every day until the project was done.
I would recommend Paul and his company to anyone who is looking for a top quality job.

RE: Referral for National Painting; Paul Strickler
To Whom It May Concern:
I have had the great fortune of working with Paul Strickler, owner of National Painting, for over the past seventeen years.
Paul has done numerous projects for Allied Residential, the company I worked for, and eventually owned. During those years, Paul painted many of the apartment complexes we managed for investors. I have, over the years, recommended Paul's company almost exclusively to others for their painting needs. His attention to detail, stable employee base, timeliness, and willingness to accommodate owners at a market price for all their painting needs, makes Paul a "go-to" person for me for both business painting needs and personal painting needs. Paul has painted every home I have ever lived in throughout Seattle and the Eastside, and has painted many of the larger apartment complexes managed by Allied Residential throughout the years. I recently retired and moved to Florida. I seriously considered paying him to fly to Florida to paint my new house. Although I don't have the statistics in front of me, size-wise I would say that National Painting always painted complexes of 100 or more units for Allied Residential.
I had an opportunity, about two years ago, to visit a property that Paul painted for my company over fifteen years ago. The building at the time it was painted was wood construction and acted more like a sponge than a piece of siding when paint was applied. Paul and his staff had their hands full and a lot of paint was put on the building despite a fixed price for the job. He never complained, he just did the job. When I saw it two years ago, I was amazed at the incredibly good condition of the siding although it had never been painted since Paul painted it originally. In my experience working with National Painting, that has always been my experience. National Painting has very skilled workers, no issues at the job site, and a willingness to accommodate the client to the greatest extent reasonable.
I hope you have the opportunity to experience National Painting's skilled craftsmanship and can enjoy the consistently positive outcome as I have over the last seventeen years.
Sincerely,
Sloan S.Jordan

I own a 3 bedroom, 2.25 baths, and 1700 SQFT home in Federal Way, WA. The home was built in 1996. I have owned the home since 1998. In 2002, I moved from the home and placed in into a rental status.
In March 2014, the house was becoming increasingly in need of an entire exterior paint service. I gathered bids from four paint services providers including National Painting Associates. Three of the bids were within a few hundred dollars and the fourth bid was 30 percent lower than the other three. I had a telephone conversation with the low bidder’s firm and it was immediately apparent he was providing a basic paint only service and I removed his bid for consideration.
Of the three remaining bids, they all included pressure washing to remove dirt and loose paint and added a chemical to treat mold and fungus. However, Mr. Stickler’s bid also include painting the gutters, sand and prime rusted areas from nails and other hardware and caulking around windows, doors and joints.
I had phone conversations with the remaining bidders. Mr. Stickler told me that some of the home’s fascias were severely damaged and rotted and required replacement prior to painting. I contacted the other two bidders and asked for their input on the fascia’s condition and both providers told me there was no unusual damage. During this time I was communicating solely via email. I live in Bothell and went down to Federal Way to look first hand at the conditions of the home’s fascia’s At that point, I knew National Painting Associates would win the bid to paint my rental property. The conditions of the fascias were in extremely poor condition. I took pictures and video of the damage to show the reps at Home Depot and Lowes. They could not believe that any painter would paint over the surface without first making the repair.
Mr. Stickler’s attention to detail, integrity and professionalism separated his company from the other providers. I would highly recommend Mr. Sticker to provide painting services at a fair and equitable price and more importantly, completed professionally and on time and at the agreed upon price.
Sincerely,
Eugene Douglas
